I stand and watch the Kentish rag rise up from the dull nights refrain and prick out lines and glyphs that are older than the church itself.
What I've discovered about this building is that it keeps on telling. It speaks of an architect who was inspired by his own town and community to create a building in harmony with the spaces around it.
David was a close friend and mentor from very early on in my career. As I struggled through the vagaries of a breakdown (without his knowing) he provided me with the philosophy and outlook to get a tentative grip on what I wanted to become.
This place goes deep into the psyche, deep into time and is deep into the ground.

If ever there is a testament to a work of art, it is when it makes our digital dystopia (and the devices associated with it) evaporate into the ether.
